Flying Start @ Marjon’s Toddler Exploration In Their Learning
Schemas are repeated patterns of play which the staff have been supplying opportunities for at Marjon to support the children’s learning.
A posting schema involves children posting objects, this is a current repetitive play often seen in the toddler’s play so the key workers provided specific opportunities to channel this repetition.
Here they were posting fur cones into the pipes watching how they dropped and exploring where they went.
The children then adapted this activity to see if they could see through the pipes, as well as using them as musical instruments.
Great fun had with something as simply as some tubes… why not try using usual house hold items at home for your child to freely explore, just see what their imaginations lead them to do!
