TLC is the training arm of Flying Start nurseries. We now train our own Level 2 and Level 3 staff whilst they are paid minimum wage and Earn as they Learn!!!

Newly launched in 2009 is our FAST TRACK programme offering our staff a pathway to degree/EYP level.

• May 2010 We won the award for OUtstanding Commitment to Training from Cornwall Business.2009-10.

• May 2010 Two of our trainees have received significant promotions. Carmen Elliot is a Deputy Manager and Dave Morgan is now the Manager of our Redruth centre. Well done both! We won the award for OUtstanding Commitment to Training from Cornwall Business.2009-10.

•We have 18 NVQ level 2 and Level 3 students
• Level 2 and 3 students have their own laptop, memory stick and access to digital cameras and voice recorders
• Portfolios are paper-free and uploaded to the internet for assessment and internal verification by Flying Start.
• Weekly training sessions support learning
• Our 2007-08 group of 9 students all qualified within 15 months and were all offered full-time jobs.
