Training

TLC is the training arm of Flying Start nurseries. We now train our own Level 2 and Level 3 staff whilst they are paid minimum wage and Earn as they Learn

Newly launched in 2009 is our FAST TRACK programme offering our staff a pathway to degree/EYP level.

• Oct 2010 recruited a record 20 trainees!
• Aug 2010 7 students working toward a degree
• May 2010 We won the award for Outstanding Commitment to Training from Cornwall Business.2009-10.
• May 2010 Two of our trainees have received significant promotions. Carmen Elliot is a Deputy Manager and Dave Morgan is now the Manager of our Redruth centre. Well done both!
• Level 2 and 3 students have their own laptop, memory stick and access to digital cameras and voice recorders
• Portfolios are paper-free and uploaded to the internet for assessment and internal verification by Flying Start.
• Weekly training sessions support learning
