The children from Flying Start @ Duchy took their forest friend puppets down to the woods to help them settle in and feel at home!

The staff have been using the forest puppets and other activities to provide opportunities to talk to the children about their homes and families, this enables the staff to support the children to feel safe and secure at nursery and in the forest.

Then they all decided it would be a good idea to find homes for the forest puppets to help them feel safe and secure too!

They had a fantastic time searching for suitable places where the animals could live. It was a really fun session and gave the staff the opportunity to observe how confident and happy the children were in their new environments.

They can't wait until their next visit, as they are going to actually design and build homes for their new furry friends....and we can't wait to see what they look like!!!
