The TLC Learners that work @ Flying Start in Saltash have been learning about how to support children with additional needs.

As part of the training towards their Level 3 Diploma, which is provided by Flying Start, they need to understand, embrace and promote inclusion and diversity with all children at our nurseries.

One of the TLC learners, Ashleigh, invited her brother Cameron into the nursery to explain and talk to the children about his life in a wheelchair. The staff supported Cameron in the nusery and held very open discussions with all of the children to help them understand about being different and how people have different needs from one another.

Everyone really enjoyed meeting and getting to know Cameron and hope that he visits again very soon!
