News » Flying Start @ Redruth's Manager gets a soaking for charity!

The children and families from Flying Start @ Redruth enjoyed a fantastic Sports Day today, with the added bonus of throwing wet sponges at the Manager, which was for charity!!!

The event went really well with an extremely good turn out from parents (a lot more than was initially expected!)

The children all took part in two races each and all received certificates for taking part. You can see from the lovely photograph below how proud this little girl was of her certificate!

There was also had a refreshment stand, a tombola, a raffle and a book sale but the most successful activity was 'throw a wet sponge at the manager!' Which was very popoular with the children, parents and particularly the staff!

The nursery raised over £100 for the charity Flying Start is supporting this year, Air Ambulance, so we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported the event. The children and families commented how much fun they had and  the staff loved it as well....it looks like it was great fun!!!

What a success!
