The children from Flying Start @ Helston have been in the forest dodging the showers this week. Despite the weather they have still continued with their Forest School outings, only they made sure that they had their wet weather clothes ready!

During this session the children were exploring how to build shelters using the natural materials from the forest.

They have been investigating which objects and resources were best suited to provide shelter for themselves and for some of the animals that live in this outdoor environment. Then they worked together to have a go at building some!

This shelter is fantastic...just what they needed when the rain poured down!
