News » Flying Start Nurseries invite the Gruffalo for Tea!!!

Last week was National Story Week and to participate in this event Flying Start held a Gruffalo Tea Party across all of our eight nurseries for the children and their dad and granddads.

The children from Flying Start @ Camborne were joined by thier dads and granddads at the Gruffalo Tea Party’s to promote fathers/grandfathers to support their children’s communication, language and literacy development.

The attendance was fantastic in every nursery and everyone enjoyed listening to the Gruffalo story, playing games such as’ feed the Gruffalo’, a Gruffalo picnic and paper aeroplane competition. The staff really threw themselves into the event and got quite competitive with the Gruffalo cake competition.

The event was a huge success and we were so happy with the number of dads/granddads who came to support their children. We would like to thank everyone for their support and for making the Tea Party so much fun!
