The children from Flying Start @ Cornwall College have been dodging the showers to take a closer look at nature!

The children are currently going to the forest weekly to learn more about  how creatures live in their natural environments.

They explored the forest surroundings to search for minibeasts, so that they could observe where and how they live. This offered fantastic opportunties for the children to be' hands on' and experience aspects of nature in real life! 

When the children returned to the nursery they used their observations to make the different minibeasts out of clay and some of the natural materials they collected from the forest.
